How to Convert a PDF to Word

· 6 min read

Frequently asked questions

Will the Word file look exactly like the PDF?
Text and paragraph structure are preserved, but complex layouts such as multi-column pages, floating images, and custom fonts may shift. Expect a good starting point you can finish in Word, not a pixel-perfect copy.
My PDF is a scan. Will conversion work?
Scanned PDFs contain images of text, not real text. Converting them requires OCR (optical character recognition), which JadePDF does not perform. If you cannot select the text in your PDF with a mouse, it is a scan and needs an OCR tool.
Is the converted document editable?
Yes. You receive a real .docx file that opens in Microsoft Word, Google Docs, LibreOffice, and similar editors, with editable text.
Is there a page limit?
No. You can convert documents of any length, limited only by your device memory.
